A Progressive Society is one in which the state and the citizenry both recognize the need for a holistic method of leadership and governance to define a balance between civil liberties, private commerce, and personal needs. Both the citizens and the government operate with consideration for equity, safety, health and responsibility to both people, animals and the natural environment.
The Progressive Society method provides an all-inclusive social safety net that trumps private commerce, but includes it in the overall scheme.
The rule of law, regulation and management of the activities of a progressive society must contain concern for the common good, by balancing every aspect of the social environment. A holistic approach to common good. It is not the intention of a The Progressive Society to circumvent private interests, however private interests can never be more important than the interests of all individuals in the society.
